These are a few of our
favourite things...
Presents for Paws is a small Australian owned business, stocking an amazing range of toys, enrichment and health products. If you’re a follower of our social media account, you’ve no doubt seen that we are a regular user of the Salmon Oil and Probiotic in all our dogs meals, and we also use a lot of the enrichment and teething toys in our daily puppy curriculum.
They have ready-to-go gift boxes or you customize your own, and this is where the gift boxes of teething and enrichment toys in our puppy packs come from! It’s so important for us to be sending home things for the pups that they are already familiar with as this supports their transition to their new environment.
We have been working with Andre for quite some time now and his customer service is second to none. Get in touch with Andre for all you puppy’s toy, enrichment and health needs.

Raw & Fresh is a fresh food delivery service and they currently deliver to Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT.
We have a regular order for fresh sardines and lamb brisket bones, which are actually cartilage so are easily chewed, digestible and don’t wear down your pups teeth like weight bearing bones will. We generally feed sardines 2-3 times a week to ensure our crew are getting their key vitamins and essential fatty acids, and the lamb brisket bones a couple of times a week to help keep teeth clean and to provide some enrichment. Both are also a good source of calcium.
We also feed their ‘Complete & Balanced’ range in rotation, and Raw & Fresh also provide a free ‘Welcome Home’ pack to our puppy families which includes a weeks worth of food.

For all the raw feeders, you must check this place out!!! These guys have such an amazing selection of products, including pre-mades, combo packs, bones and treats, with one of the biggest selections of proteins I’ve seen from a pet food supplier.
These guys also deliver Australia wide so do yourself (and your pups) a favour and check out their range!
We place regular orders for chicken, duck, turkey wings, feet and frames. Salmon frames & heads are a big favourite, and we love trying new things to pop into our food rotation also. Quail, water buffalo, goat, mutton bird…so many unique options.

We came across these Personalised Pet Collars many, many years ago, before we even had our current cohort. At the time we only had Dyson, Kobi and Tyler, and loved that we could have their names and our contact number embroidered on the collar rather than having a dangling tag that could get caught or break.
The quality of these collars is amazing, we just pop them in the washing machine when they get dirty and they come out looking brand new.
All our dogs have them, as you can see in all our photos, and all our pups get their own personalised collar included in their puppy pack. All our pups wear a ‘wide small’ when they leave us at 8 weeks, and the ‘wide medium’ fits from around 4-5 months of age. All our adult girls wear a ‘wide medium’ however we like the look of the ‘wide large’ on Axle.

Enrichment feeders have so many benefits for your pooch and there’s a huge range of options on the market such as lickimats, puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, toppl and treat dispensers, just to name a few.
Enrichment feeders can help slow your pooch down if he likes to scoff, as well as provides mental stimulation. It can help prevent boredom, reduce anxiety, and it encourages your dog to use their natural foraging and scavenging instincts in reward for treats and food.
Both snacks and full meals can be served in enrichment feeders, and it also provides a good form of sensory enrichment.
Some of our favourites are the Toppl, SodaPop Honey Pot & Mandala (get in touch with Andre from Presents for Paws), the Happy Tails Tough Tyre Feeder Pet Toy from Bunnings, and snuffle mats. If you would like us to send you a brochure for excellent handmade snuffle mats where you can choose your own colours, please reach out!
Not many toys stand the test of time with a Staffy, but Kong toys are one of the best we have found. They have a great variety of treat dispensing toys such as the ‘Treat Spiral’, ‘Spiral Stick’, ‘Genius’ and the ‘Classic’ Kong. They also have a range of ‘squeezz’ toys that make crackling sounds for hours of entertainment, heavy duty chew toys which are perfect for Staffy’s, fetch & retrieve toys, interactive toys, dental toys and more.
You will find Kong toys at most pet shops. The Jumbler (pictured) is one of our favourites.
Our Whelping Box from Southern Cross Custom Kennels is an absolute dream!! Made from refrigerated panels it is light weight and super easy to clean which means it is hygienic! Incredibly important when you have puppies!
You can customize any of their products and we chose to get heated flooring built into our whelping box. This saves the need for portable heat sources with cords, or having additional items in the whelping box which can potentially pose a risk to the pups.
Jess’ customer service is outstanding and she always goes above and beyond, so don’t hesitate to give her a call to discuss your kennel or whelping box needs.

All our dogs are crate trained and we condition our pups to a variety of crates sizes, from small cat cages where they can rest individually, to bigger wire crates where they can sleep altogether. We train them to sleep in crates that are both covered and uncovered, and this helps significantly when transitioning pups to their new homes.
Crate training is helpful for not only those times you need to transport your pooch or if they need to a hospital stay, but it provides them with a safe space and somewhere to go when they need some time out.
For our adult dogs, the Kmart medium sized crate is perfect. Our pups have also been conditioned to this sized crate and is recommended for all our puppy families. We find the locking mechanism on the Kmart crates is actually better than some of the expensive crates at pet stores.
We purchased ours on Amazon, but if you Google ‘Saucer Swing’ you will have a multitude of options pop up. Our pups spend many hours a day running around and playing on their swing (as evidenced by how well loved it is!). Even on their own, pups have kept themselves occupied with their swing for extended periods. It’s common for us to find a lone pup outside on their own just snoozing or rocking themselves on the swing while everyone else is inside.
This swing has been one of our many enrichment activities as part of our daily puppy curriculum and helps to promote balance, coordination, strength and confidence in their abilities.
